Shazia Ilmi is renown and synonymous with not just journalism, she is also a major forerunner for India’s anti-corruption drive, gender issues, social justice and is also the Brand Ambassador of the Prime Minister’s Swachh Bharat Mission. Armed with her top of the class degrees from Jamia Milia Islamia and the New York Film Academy, Shazia has spent 16 years as a journalist and social commentator across multiple channels, having spent 7 years at Star News in Mumbai. She has also directed some award winning documentaries while producing some disruptive journalistic content. She has been one of the founding members of India’s Aam Aadmi Party and India’s Anti-Corruption movement led by Anna Hazare to institute the Jan LokPal Bill.
