Prof. Ashok Misra is the NASI Distinguished Professor at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.  Earlier he was the Director of IIT Bombay, Chairman Board of Governors of IIT Roorkee and Chairman-India of Intellectual Ventures.  He is an Independent Director on the Boards of Jubilant Life Sciences Ltd., Kirloskar Electric Company Ltd. and Higher Education Funding Agency.  He has been on the Boards of Reliance Industries Ltd., National Thermal Power Corporation and Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers. He is a Fellow of National Academy of Sciences India and was its President from 2006-08; a Fellow of the Indian National Academy of Engineering and founder President of the Polymer Processing Academy.
